Program Manager, Lori Peterson has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Bowling Green State University in communications and a Masters of Education from John Carroll University. For over 15 years she has developed, implemented and evaluated various programs, events and fundraisers. She has worked in the nonprofit sector for six years and has worked closely with the City of Cleveland. Her work for the Old Brooklyn Community Development Corporation has allowed her to work with emerging leaders in the neighborhood and assist with various grassroots neighborhood projects. Lori has written award winning articles for the Old Brooklyn News, a monthly publication.
She has developed innovative collaborative partnerships with institutional stakeholders, small business owners and residents. She served on the board of Kiwanis Brooklyn-Cleveland and on the Old Brooklyn Community Engagement Committee. Lori has chaired numerous committees and she has a diverse background of program and event planning, sales and marketing, and teaching Cleveland’s youth. As an elementary school teacher for Cleveland Metropolitan School District for five years and director of an inner-city camp director she has helped to shape the lives of Cleveland’s youth. Additionally, she has worked to better the lives of the geriatric population by identifying their needs and assisting them with finding appropriate resources. She looks forward to working with Neighborhood Leadership Development Program to make Cleveland a better place to live, work and play.
Lead Coach, Laura Junglas has worked with the nonprofit and small business sector for over 25 years. Her background includes working for neighborhood based community development corporations (CDCs), local and national intermediaries offering services to the nonprofit and banking sector, a small business consulting firm and a large financial services corporation. These experiences allowed her to build a skill base and deep understanding of nonprofit management, operations and finance. In addition, Laura has developed an expertise in organizational assessment and turn around management.
Laura enjoys working with grass roots leaders in the area of project development and refinement, strategic planning, identifying market segments and project funding, network formation, nonprofit start-up and management, board of director development, group dynamics and facilitation and general problem solving.
Laura has experience in working with a wide range of organizations and cultures, both locally and on a national basis. These cultures include the Southern, Appalachian, Northeastern and Midwestern regions of the US as well as the Lakota Sioux Indian Tribe and the Seneca Nation.
Laura has also provided coaching services to Executives and program staff. These services have included leadership development, behavior change and problem solving coaching. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts Management and French from Virginia Wesleyan College and a Master’s in Organization Development from the Weatherhead School at Case Western Reserve University. In addition, she has served in leadership roles as a board and committee member for several nonprofit organizations, including a CDC, farmers market, hostel and homeless shelter. Since 2000, Laura has been an independent consultant providing services in the areas of interim management, coaching, organizational development, real estate project management and loan fund portfolio management.
Coach, Linda Ghazal DeMarco is the Principal of TruePoint Consulting, LLC, a full spectrum Human Resource and Organizational Development consulting firm focused on the role of human resources in aligning an organization’s people strategy with their overall business goals. This approach synchronizes business performance and employee satisfaction to create a people-centric culture. Linda’s approach is a pragmatic one focused on generating meaningful, incremental results within a broader set of strategic goals.
Prior to starting her consulting practice, Linda worked in the healthcare, manufacturing, nonprofit, and academic sectors. She has experience with large and small businesses, as well as startup organizations.
Linda has coached a wide range of individuals, including executive and middle management levels, department heads, young professionals, and graduate level as well as undergraduate students. Linda enjoys working with individuals from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, and has a passion for working with young emerging leaders. She has served as a career, leadership development, and performance enhancement coach. Linda believes in meeting individuals where they are today and helping them reach the next level. Her philosophy incorporates practical approaches to enhancing performance with the ultimate goal of creating satisfying incremental and enduring results.
Linda has served as a coach for the Health Careers Enhancement for Minorities Program (HCEM) at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and the Neighborhood Leadership Development Program (NLDP), sponsored by the Mandel Foundation and Cleveland Foundation.
In addition to her coaching background, Linda possesses certifications in The Hay Group Emotional and Social Competency Inventory (ESCI), Myers Briggs Type Indicator, as well as the Appreciative Inquiry Certificate in Positive Business and Society Change. In addition, she is skilled in the application of both the Kolb Learning Style Inventory (LSI) and The Boyatzis-Kolb Adaptive Style Inventory (ASI).
She earned her PhD in Organizational Behavior from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. Linda’s dissertation research focused on the assessment of organizational attachment styles and its relationship to leadership style. Investing in individuals’ emotional well-being and developing more secure leader-led relationships may aid in inspiring individuals to achieve beyond the expected and reach towards optimal performance. Her work suggests that transformational leaders may have the ability to motivate individuals to strive to accomplish not only individual goals but group and organizational goals. Linda received her MA in Biomedical Ethics and BA in Biology from Case Western Reserve University.
Coach, Merle Graybill is the Principal of InWorld Coaching LLC which trades on eliciting transforming insights and crafting strategies with non-profit, small business, education and grassroots leaders. She is thrilled to join the NLDP and to coach with the inspirational leaders of Cleveland neighborhoods! She also coaches with the Diversity Management Masters Program of Cleveland State University and with the Weatherhead School of Management.
Merle has progressed from front service lines to organizational leadership throughout her 25 years of experience working in non-profits and universities. Her focus, values, and personal style invite engagement across constituent groups and thus her experience has also included collaboration with business, civic, and government sectors.
She has held senior management responsibilities for personnel, budgets, technology, public outreach, communication and marketing, collaborations, strategic planning and assessment, and organizational cultural competencies. She is regarded as a creative facilitator of complex conversations that result in improved outcomes and innovative change.

Coach, Eric Lutzo is the founder and principle of Forward Thought, a coaching and leadership development practice. Eric works with individuals as well as teams within organizations. The Forward Thought coaching model is based on the theory of Intentional Change and Gestalt intervention strategy. Eric sits on the coaching faculty for Weatherhead’s Executive Education and Cleveland State’s Diversity Management Program.
In addition to the coaching practice, Eric is the Managing Partner of SoTre Properties, a real estate development firm with a mission of saving homes and building community in South Tremont. He is also the President of Plexus, which is Northeast Ohio’s LGBT Chamber of Commerce with a mission of developing LGBT and allied small businesses and promoting workplace equality.
Eric earned his Masters of Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management and his Bachelors in Business Administration from Kent State University. He holds additional certifications from; The Gestalt Institute of Cleveland - coaching and intervention; Consulting Psychologists Press (CPP) - Myers Briggs Type Indicator, The Hay Group - Emotional Competency Inventory (ECI) and Case| Weatherhead - Leadership Assessment and Development (LEAD).
Eric believes a strong mind is only as strong as the body in which it resides. As a result he is a student of yoga and meditation. He believes strongly in quality down time, mostly with his dogs Baxter and Barnabas, but also finds time to escape both within as well as outside the US. He has circled the world and enjoys taking his travel experiences and applying them to practice.
Administrative Assistant, Hillary Sedlacek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cleveland State University and is currently seeking a Masters of Business Administration degree from Cleveland State as well as a juris doctorate degree. She additionally holds a Bioethics certification. Her volunteering and internship experience includes serving on University Hospital System's Bioethics Committee, intern for United States Senator Sherrod Brown, and participated in the Cleveland State University Student Leadership Academy where she studied leadership theory.
